Following the success of its third edition last April 2023 held in the Akademia Muzyczna im. Stanisława Moniuszki w Gdańsku (Gdańsk, Poland), we are very pleased to invite you to join our fourth HarMA Seminar Event and HarMA HUB Project's result to be held in the Conservatori Superior de Música “Joaquín Rodrigo” de València (Spain) in April 14-16th, 2025.
The HarMA Seminar and HarMA HUB
Created by Salvatore Gioveni (Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles), the International HarMA - Harmony and Music Analysis - Seminar Event aims to bring in a single place the Music Theory faculties from Higher Music Education Institutions to talk about their Home Institutions' organization and especially to share their teaching practices experiences, International projects and innovative teaching methods in these fields. This event will also present the new HarMA HUB – Cooperation partnerships in higher education - Erasmus+ Project (KA2) and especially the music theory tools that are being developed by the partners : EU Glossary – EU Bibliography – Music Analysis Repository – Peer Journal.

It will be an excellent opportunity for your Institution to contribute by sending us some information about your Music Theory courses.
Your music theory department will be able to benefit from higher visibility within the EU Higher Music Education Institutions !
HarMA aims to contribute to the development of quality standards in the field of Music Theory in HMEI's.
This fourth Edition will focus on Internationalization, Digitalization and Innovative teaching and e-Learning methods.
Organization
There will be three days of sharing information about these subjects, as well as several Topic Specific Talks in different sessions, three Training sessions and round-table discussions. They will be released in a post-event publication.
The Seminar will also include cultural immersion in the famous city of València : museum visits, catered lunches and coffee Break networking !
On Monday, there will be a welcome concert by our worldwide awarded guitar student Ausiàs Parejo. The walking tour of Valencia will be held on Monday evening. The HarMA Dinner will be organized on the second day, together with a short boat trip that will take us to the restaurant El Rek. There will be short concerts during the three days.

Training Sessions
Three Training Sessions will be organized to deepen the pedagogic knowledge and skills of your music theory departments, to discover innovative learning and teaching methods and to share teaching practices. They will be conducted within a positive learning environment and with the aim of building a strong community, both during and after the HarMa seminar. One of these training sessions will be dedicated to a comparative analysis session, which is chaired by Marc Garcia Vitoria (Conservatori Superior de Música ¨Joaquín Rodrigo¨ Valencia, Spain) and led by John Koslovsky (KULeuven, Belgium) and Alberto Martín Entrialgo (The Purcell School and Royal College of Music, U.K.).
Venue of the Seminar
The HarMA Seminar will take place in the Conservatori Superior de Música “Joaquín Rodrigo” de València (Spain). The Participants will be provided with Erasmus Plus Staff Mobility (STT) certificates upon completion.

Participants Profile
The Participants should be a Music Theory faculty teacher/member or similar (Harmony, Music Analysis, ...), or the Heads of the Music Theory Department or Delegates able to provide authorized information about their Home Institution in these fields.
Accommodation and Travel
Travel and accommodation costs in Valencia could be provided by the sending Institution through your Erasmus Training Mobility grant. Three lunches and one dinner (dinner under reservation and payment) will be provided by the host Institution.

The HarMA Dinner will be held on the second day at the restaurant El Rek (20th April, 2023, 20:00 PM - a mandatory reservation form and payment will be sent later.

As the number of participants is limited, we highly recommend sending one or two representatives from the same institution.
