Following the success of its second edition last April 2021 held in the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, we are very pleased to invite you to join our third HarMA Seminar Event and HarMA+ Project's result to be held in the Akademia Muzyczna im. Stanisława Moniuszki w Gdańsku (Gdańsk, Poland) on April 19-21st, 2023.
Purpose of the Seminar and HarMA+
The goal of the International HarMA - Harmony and Music Analysis - Seminar Event is to bring in a single place the Music Theory faculties from Higher Music Education Institutions to talk about their Home Institutions' organization and especially to share their teaching practices experiences, International projects and innovative teaching methods in these fields. For more detailed information, please read the guidelines page.
This event will present also the results of the HarMA+ Strategic Partnerships Erasmus+ Project (KA2) and especially the 4 Intellectual Outputs : we kindly ask the participants to contribute on it by sending us some data (EU Bibliography and EU Repository courses forms have been created) explained in the project's description.
This project created by Salvatore Gioveni (Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles) promotes cross-border collaboration in the field of music theory through sharing knowledge and transferring pedagogical innovation.
It will be an excellent opportunity to your Institution to contribute by sending us some information about your Music Theory courses. Your music theory department will be able to benefit from higher visibility within the EU Higher Music Education Institutions !
HarMA aims to contribute to the development of quality standards in the field of Music Theory in HMEI's.
This third Edition will focus on Internationalization, Digitalization and Innovative teaching and e-Learning methods.
Organization
There will be three days of sharing information about these subjects, as well as several Topic Specific Talks in different sessions, three Training sessions and round-table discussions. They will be released in a post-event publication.
The Seminar will also include cultural immersion in the famous city of Gdańsk: museum visits, catered lunches and coffee Break networking ! The HarMA Dinner will be organized on the second day ! On Friday April 21st evening, there is going to be a concert performed by the Academy's symphony orchestra, under direction of Sylwia Janiak-Kobylińska (Dean of the Faculty of Conducting, Composition and Music Theory), with a solist Ignacy Kapica (trumpet). On Saturday April 22nd, a museum visit will be organized.

Training Sessions
Three Training Sessions will be organized to improve the pedagogic knowledge and skills of your Music Theory Departments, to discover innovative learning and teaching methods and to share teaching practices. It will create a positive learning community and start developing a positive learning environment.
Venue of the Seminar
The HarMA Seminar will take place in Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk - Poland. The Participants will be provided with Erasmus Plus Staff Mobility (STT) certificates upon completion.

Participants Profile
The Participants should be a Music Theory faculty teacher/member or similar (Harmony, Music Analysis, ...), or the Heads of the Music Theory Departments or Delegates able to provide authorized information about their Home Institution in these fields.
Accommodation and Travel
Travel and accommodation costs in Gdańsk could be provided by the sending Institution through your Erasmus Training Mobility grant. Three lunches and one dinner under reservation will be provided by the host Institution. All information about accommodation and transportation in the guidelines.
The HarMA Dinner will be held on the second day (20th April, 2023, 20:00 PM (mandatory reservation will be sent later).
